How to Use the AI Flashcard Generator
Step 1: Enter a Topic
- Topic: Type the subject you want to study in the “Topic” field. This can be anything — a school subject, a concept, a historical event, or a professional skill (e.g., “Human Body,” “Python Programming,” “World War II”).
Step 2: Choose Number of Cards
- Cards: Select how many flashcards you want generated from the dropdown menu. Options include 5, 10, 20, or 30 cards. A set of 10 cards is selected by default for a balanced study session.
Step 3: Add Notes (Optional)
- Notes: Paste your own study notes, textbook excerpts, or any relevant content into the Notes field. When provided, the AI will generate flashcards directly based on your material rather than general knowledge, making the cards more relevant to your specific coursework or exam.
Step 4: Select Difficulty
- Difficulty: Choose from three levels — 🌱 Easy (basic recall facts), ⚡ Medium (concepts and comparisons), or 🔥 Hard (analytical and application-based questions). Medium is selected by default and works well for most study sessions.
Step 5: Generate Flashcards
- Generate Button: Click the purple “Generate Flashcards” button. The AI will process your inputs and produce a full deck of flashcards within seconds. Each card includes a question, a detailed answer, and a helpful hint.
Step 6: Study with Preview Mode
- Preview Tab: Flip through your flashcards one by one. Click or tap a card to reveal the answer. Use the arrow buttons to navigate, and heart icon to mark favorites. Toggle between 📱 Mobile (9:16 vertical card) and 🖥 Desktop (wide card) views depending on your preference.
Step 7: Edit Your Deck
- Edit Tab: Review all generated cards in a list. You can edit any card to update the question, answer, hint, or category, add new cards manually, or delete cards that aren’t relevant. Changes are saved instantly to your active deck.
Step 8: Test Yourself with Quiz Mode
- Quiz Tab: Switch to quiz mode to test your knowledge with multiple-choice questions generated from your flashcard deck. Your live score is tracked throughout and displayed at the end so you can measure how well you’ve learned the material.
