STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Since my early stages of study in childhood I have a great affinity towards construction of buildings
it may be because my father is also a civil engineer, and whenever I was free, I like to visit various
construction sites with him. During my high school I got to know about Civil Engineering. I got
fascinated towards the construction of buildings, Highways and Bridges and developed interest in
Civil Engineering. One of the basic needs of human sustainability and quality life is our
infrastructure. My primary research objectives and interest is in the field of R.C.C Bridge. With
my keen interest in the development of our infrastructure, I got admission in the stream of civil
engineering for my graduation in
IEC-CET, AKTU, Greater Noida
, UP. My interest in civil
engineering makes me perform well in my academics as well as in activities related to my stream.
During my graduation time, I did my eight weeks training work at
PARNIKA Commercial &
Estates (P) Ltd, at Airforce Station Naliya, Bhuj, Gujarat
under the guidance of
Mr. D.S
.
KUSHWAHA (Project Manager).
During the training work, I was involved in Roof
Waterproofing treatment using APP Membrane, Construction of heavy duty floor using Vacuum
Dewatering Process, Laying of Dry Lean Concrete. For my B. Tech Project, I opted for Production
of
Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks for Low Cost Housing in Rural Areas
.
After completing my graduation with first Division I decided to go for post-graduation and opted
Structural Engineering by qualifying the competitive exam (GATE), at
Madan Mohan Malaviya
University of Technology, Uttar Pradesh, India.
MMMUT is a well government university and
good for research work that I need to proceed for my post-graduation. Besides undergoing regular
class work, I came across many interesting subjects like
Earthquake Engineering, Structural
Dynamics, Maintenance Repair & Rehabilitation of Structures
and software’s that can be used
in the Modelling & Design of Structures. In my two years of post - graduation I participated many
workshops conducted in my university as well as in other institutes (mentioned in the CV).
During my master’s thesis, I did my research work on
“A Comparative Study of Various
Methods of Design of T-Beam Deck Slab”
This research was carried out under the supervision
of
Mr. R.D. Patel, Associate Professor, MMMUT, Gorakhpur
. This research was carried out
by analyzing a two lane 18.75m T-Beam Deck Slab with Carriage Way width of 7.5m using
STAAD Pro Software and by Conventional Methods. New developments and researches have
made me passionate of more research.
