1. CATALYST & INTELLECTUAL FRAMEWORK
In an era defined by geopolitical fragmentation and transnational crises, the stability of the global order
hinges on the efficacy of multilateral diplomacy and international institutions. My commitment to
pursuing a Master of Science in International Relations stems from a dedicated effort to analyze how
emerging power shifts in the Indo-Pacific region influence multilateral trade frameworks and global
security architecture. Having completed my undergraduate degree in International Studies and
Economics at Columbia University, I have consistently focused on the intersections of statecraft,
economic statecraft, and international treaty compliance.
2. PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT & POLICY RESEARCH
For the past two years, I have served as a Foreign Policy Analyst at the Council for Global Governance in
New York. In this capacity, I have spearheaded policy briefs analyzing energy security dynamics across
East Asia and evaluated regional trade agreements in response to shifting supply chain vulnerabilities.
My work required synthesizing multi-lingual open-source intelligence, conducting quantitative risk
assessments, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior diplomatic delegations.
PRIMARY RESEARCH FOCUS & THEORETICAL DOMAIN
Investigating the intersection of economic statecraft, institutional legitimacy, and maritime security in the
Indo-Pacific. Analyzing how middle powers leverage multilateral coalitions to mitigate superpower
competition and maintain regional order.
During my tenure, I co-authored a comprehensive report on diplomatic negotiations surrounding
regional maritime boundaries under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Participating in closed-door roundtable discussions with former ambassadors and trade negotiators
underscored a key insight: durable diplomatic solutions require not only a mastery of theoretical
realism and liberalism, but also a granular understanding of domestic political constraints and
regulatory mechanisms.
