COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE
Background:
Neuropsychology Research Assistant

I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY & CLINICAL VISION
Understanding human cognition and emotional resilience requires bridging empirical
neuroimaging with empathetic clinical practice. Having spent three years leading clinical trials on
stress-induced affective disorders and cognitive-behavioral interventions (CBT), I have observed
how neurobiological vulnerability intersects with environmental stressors. Pursuing a Master of
Science in Clinical Psychology is my key objective to master advanced fMRI paradigms, biomarker
assessments, and evidence-based psychotherapy frameworks.
II. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE & EMPIRICAL IMPACT
As a Senior Research Assistant at the Cognitive Neuroscience & Affective Health Lab, I coordinated
multi-site longitudinal studies assessing prefrontal cortex activity during executive function tasks
under acute stress condition protocols.

Investigating neuroplasticity markers associated with mindfulness-based
cognitive therapy (MBCT) to design targeted interventions for treatment-resistant adolescent depression.
III. ACADEMIC ALIGNMENT & MENTORSHIP OBJECTIVES
Your institution’s Department of Psychology is globally recognized for pioneering integrative
clinical neuroscience. I am specifically drawn to the research conducted at the Affective
Neuroscience & Psychopathology Lab, where faculty work on the intersection of neural circuit
modeling and personalized psychotherapy. Access to your state-of-the-art neuroimaging facilities
